We will never stop loving white sarees with golden motifs, will we? And what if it is a Chanderi cotton saree that is uber comfortable? Double love!
Yes, I am back with part IV of the saree series. Considering how much I have fallen in love with sarees, and the plethora of options I have in terms of draping styles, fabrics, blouses, etc, please be prepared for a part V (and VI, and VII, and… 😀 ). If you haven’t seen parts I, II and III, please find the links here, here and here respectively. I had taken a poll on instagram recently to find out if you enjoy reading the posts as much as I enjoy writing them, and it turns out, most of you do 🙂 So here is part IV like I promised!
I got this gorgeous block print saree from Sampradaa. They have a lovely collection of sarees and salwar suits in various fabrics like chanderi, tussar silk, banarasi silk, etc. Make sure you check out their instagram page to see their entire range.
As soon as I received the saree I knew how I wanted to style it. A bold bindi (self-drawn with golden eyeliner and black kohl), a cold-shoulder blouse in aubergine, and a statement belt in golden. See how I tied all these elements together…
About the look : I decided to pleat the pallu for a change this time, since I mostly leave the pallu open. I paired it with a cold-shoulder blouse I got from Forever 21 recently. I used a belt since I liked how it was able to hold all the pleats together. If you feel this look is too bold, you could skip the belt and get a pair of statement earrings or a bangle instead.
Did you like this look? Too bold? Dramatic? Love it? Definitely going to try it? We would love to know what you think 🙂
See you soon with another exciting post!
