LET’S MIX ‘EM UP!
We all love and embrace fusion outfits right? A bit of this and a bit of that, which gives us a unique style. Well, that’s exactly what this post is all about. Get some popcorn and a coke and let’s get started, shall we? 😀
This is Ourlookbook’s first collaboration with another blogger. Shruti D Shah is from India, currently residing in Kuwait. Yes, you got that right, we work together 🙂 I had started reading her posts long before I actually met her. Hailing from the same city, I found it fascinating to read her views on the same restaurants and places I frequented. Same place, but different views and emotions attached to it. You get the drill. She writes about her travel experiences, restaurants she loved/didn’t quite like, and anything that she enjoys writing about. You can read all her posts here.
So for our first collaboration we wanted to tick off a few items from our to-do list for the year 2017, tasks/dreams that have been pushed from one year to the next quite shamelessly. Why hesitate when we have each other to push and test our limits, right? This post is about a lot of firsts, you will see soon.
So here we go, our first YouTube video! It is also our first stop motion video, our first collaboration video, etc…
We put together four lovely outfits for this video. We incorporated both our styles into the outfits, in terms of colours, accessory choices, silhouette preferences, etc. It was not just an Indo-Boho fusion, it was a fusion of our styles as well.
About the look : A pop of colours! You see a lot of red and yellow in this outfit. This jacket is quite versatile, you can pair it with bodycons or the way I did. I wore a navy cami and a pair of dark blue jeans. In the video I am wearing a silver choker, but I switched it for a pair of beautiful earrings here. You can skip the wedges for a pair of really colourful kolhapuris if you have a long day planned.
About the look : Shruti has paired her black long-line cotton jacket with a cami. For that boho element, she has added a lovely neckpiece and a beaded clutch that go perfectly with the outfit. She completed her look with a pair of ripped denims and a pair of kitten heels.
About the look : I chose an embroidered LBD for my second look. The embroidered element in the dress was matched with a pair of pom pom tie ups, my all-time favourite. I added a pair of really pretty earrings to make it a colourful ensemble.
About the look : Shruti has picked a peplum top in denim, with a collared neck and cute sleeves for her second look. She wore a statement neckpiece in blue and bright orange, with pom poms and a pair of block heels with embroidery detailing to complete her look. Skip the high heels and you can easily wear this to office on a Thursday (Friday in other parts of the world 🙂 ).
Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Do let us know your views, feedback, tips or suggestions 🙂
